A new setting is available for each store location that allows you to define the smallest currency denomination your store accepts for cash transactions. This helps ensure totals are rounded correctly when exact change is not available.

You can choose one of the following options:

• $0.01
• $0.05
• $0.10
• Cash rounding only applies to cash payments.
• Card and other non-cash payment methods are not affected by this setting.
• Rounding is applied to the final transaction total, not individual line items.

Settings → General Settings

Each location can be configured independently.

 

Cash Rounding Rules

When a denomination of $0.05 is selected, cash totals are rounded using the rules below:

Final Digit	Rounded To
$0.01 or $0.02	Round down to $0.00
$0.03 or $0.04	Round up to $0.05
$0.06 or $0.07	Round down to $0.05
$0.08 or $0.09	Round up to $0.10
